I was doing CAE homework until I came across this.

What are your opinions?

"half a class of students was allowed to use internet-connected laptops during a lecture, while the other half had to keep their computers shut. Those who browsed the web performed much worse on a subsequent test of how well they retained the lecture's content."

No loving stuff, geniuses.

this is wrong
yeah
wrong
fake and gay

also yeah they are surfing the web they are obviously going to visit more sites and get distracted

i think technology is making the human race lazy. with all these new things like cars, internet, cellphones, computers, we expect everything to be right there when we need it. we want things to be fast and instant. before we had these things, people were more patient and more willing to devote over half their day to studding school and smart stuff. but now we dont have the patience for any of that.

Running a toaster teaches me that:
I don't win anything trying to speed up a system or hitting it to go faster;
I can't always have what I want;

Because humans have become very specific in their professions. If you were a professional painter who lived off of his work, then you expect your paint to be the way you want it to. You don't have time to mess about mixing it to perfection, because when you paint you need the paint right now. Similarly, a painter does not know how the plastic that contains his paint is manufactured, because he doesn't need to.

Blanket psychology is stupid. Everyone behaves, thinks, and acts differently.
