Thank you for the bump, Tristan.
I've downloaded all of the coloursets you've recommended and am just trying to decide which I like the most.
I do wish Blockland was capable of using more colours. It's a nuisance to have to limit yourself in a project like this, particularly because there's a need for a lot of colour.
A lot of people don't know it, but Ancient Rome and Greece were incredibly colourful. Almost all statues were painted and so too were temples and other buildings.
It's only because the paints used on the white marbles have faded away over the millenia, and the sheer white colours remain. Statues look nice in white, but they could be very life-like in colour.
I've been working some more on building a modular Chariot Circus.
Essentially the parts can be copied and duplicated next to each other to make a Circus of varying size and length.
Unfortunately I kind of took inspiration from a Lego fan-creation, rather than an accurate image of a Circus. And while it's the same basic thing, it's not quite as large or fanciful. I like what I have so far, but might make something more extravagant.
Here's what I've been using for inspiration.
I do have a request to make for anyone who could be interested.
There's a particular Roman design that I would really love on a print brick. Unfortunately, I can't get my head around how to make it work.
It would fit on a 2x2f print brick, and would be designed so that the pattern goes continuously when connected to itself again.
The pattern is a Roman swastika, and is essentially this.;
I would quite like something like that. Where the swastika repeats endlessly to itself. Whether it's 1 or more swastika's per print-brick doesn't matter. And preferably there would be a gap between the top and bottom of the print and the top/bottom of the swastika.
If anyone is capable of making a repeatable version of that, I would be unbelievably appreciative.
Dooble, i'd be honored to help. I can help build the Colosseum.
Also Truenos coloursets are pretty neat. Check em out.
I would love it if you came along and helped out. You could join me in doing something, or go ahead and work at your own personal thing.
And the Colosseum (or similar Ampitheatre) is most definitely a goal to be done.
I'd also quite like to try the Pantheon at some point, which will be fun, since you first need to build a big ball.
