I saw this before.
This guy is such an idiot.

this seems like a really badly done TheBestGamers parody.
not worth watching 11 minutes of it.

I also love it how all I really heard him talking about was graphics for about 7 minutes...

idk guys im listening to him describe the forums right now and its spot on  :cookieMonster:

I only agree with DoubleDank66 25%.

I don't disagree with him entirely. I don't see what's so wrong about his review. He talks about the things he likes (building, minigames, add-ons). He then talks about things he doesn't like such as the art-style and the slow updates He talks about about shaders looking bad, and I can't disagree (especially when it comes to interior builds). One of his complaints was about missing features the game should have (moving parts, buildable vehicles, server-physics). It's disappointing when you have a lego game and you can't even fly your creations around. It doesn't ruin the game, but it would be an awesome touch to really make it feel complete.

When he talks about the engine gimping modders, he's right. He shows bad models, which are the fault of the modders, but he is right when he says mods are gimped by restrictions. Simple things like playing animations on mounted objects, recoloring nodes on weapons, and selectively showing things to certain players would open up a lot more doors.

For me, community won't keep me from playing a game, but it's not like he's wrong. Alt-accounts feed into an ego based stufffest so that people can continue to yell at eachother (I have to get the last word in!!). The forums winds up being the main attraction for a majority of players, and they end up sitting here talking about stupid stuff instead of building and helping improve the "serverbase" that they all complain about.

The forum cultivates awkwardness and it shows. There's at least one topic per month with kids ranting about how they hate everyone else in the real world and think their school is too "immature" for them. Like most online hugbox communities, it's a breeding ground for abnormal behavior and social deviance. Thought this isn't true for every member, and a lot of members do participate in the game and stay away from stupid stuff like the skype-clique and forum fads.

It's clear he isn't a new user judging by how he picks out drama that's been going on for years, and focuses on old community issues. While I don't think it's a good review, he does touch upon almost everything that players might have a problem with.
