Author Topic: Brickcount Lowerer?  (Read 1527 times)

Has anyone attempted at making this? Would it even be possible? Basically, let's say you have a simple block house with only 2x2x1 bricks. The mod would replace these with the biggest bricks possible, lowering the brick count. The shape and dimensions of the house would stay the same.

this would be a godsend

if somebody makes this, spaming would be solved.

This has been suggested before
I recall a good suggestion; to check the color of each brick before fusing them, and to have settings for what kinds of bricks can be combined.
Sometimes, people go for a certain effect that isn't as well created by a single brick

also check if they have the exact same properties, i dont want to lose all my complex events just because i have a brick that is the same color

The trench war gamemode did this, but neglected anything about properties.

I believe DrenDran (or DrenDren, not sure) did this before, I remember seeing a topic in modification discussion about it.

a lot of people use smaller bricks for design

You could always have the mod activate only on a certain user's bricks, through the admin menu. Only Super Admins would have the ability to select a user's bricks and activate the mod.

People who actually build well do this.
Everybody else seems to like 1x1x5 walls.

This would be pretty cool. I already attempted at making this, but I'll keep trying. If anyone else wants to take it over, please do so, I don't care.

Look at the Trench Wars mod. That functions like this.

It's easier to do it with similar bricks like that that is already attached to a grid.
With very different bricks it would be more complicated.
