Author Topic: Why have none of these games been made yet?!  (Read 907 times)

Literally just spent an hour on steam searching up different tags to try and find a good game!
I've only bought about 40-50 games on steam yet I am always disappointed at how they aren't as good as I thought.
Its like devs are becoming less creative as technology evolves.
All I want is an MMORPG which is a cross over between skyrim and DayZ.
I am literally bored of every single game I find. Blockland is nice because of the creative side but I am seriously getting annoyed that all the games I buy are complete bullstuff.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance looks like pretty much the only style of game that I want, and it doesn't come out for ages!

Anyone reccomend me a good game? Qualities I enjoy:

Medieval
Creative
MMO / Online
Survival
Customizable characters/equipment

I don't quite know of any games that are similar to crossover Skyrim and DayZ, but;

Brick Force: crossover between a fighting FPS and a building game, MMO
is it free?: yes
does it have in game purchases?: yes if you want better items :(
does it have premium?: let's just say this game likes to squeeze out money
is it fun (imo)?: i used to play it for a bit before going back to blockland, was fun for it's time. but now it just feels like it's one of those games that likes to take a lot of money. it's like combat arms. hacked and not quite good.

Elsword: anime styled MMORPG, available on steam to play
is it free?: yes
does it have in game purchases?: yes, but i think it's like NX in maplestory, it's for custom non beneficial items. currency is K-Ching.
does it have premium?: last time i checked, no
is it fun?: i played it a lot with my friends, and it was great to be able to go through missions with my buds, and not have random matchups. i don't know, it's kind of a diff experience for other people

Thanks for the suggestions, but I don't tend to play free to play games, money isn't an issue to me as I have a full time job.
I'm currently working on a game, which I will probably finish in a year or two which is focused on what I said in the OP.

omg brickforce

that game was so p2p

people buy snipers that insta-kill while you have this really stuffty gun
i could never get kills because people spend 100 dollars on an insta-kill gun

Mount & Blade Warband is really the closest thing I can think of. It's a bit like Skyrim and Total War combined, a bit of a "medieval simulator".

Yeah maybe if it didnt have the map thing so you have to actually physically travel

Project Zomboid is like DayZ but which actual survival elements. Theres multiplayer but zombies are always a huge threat, and most of the time is in is spent running or hiding. Unfortunately it's not as survival-y as it is loot-y. In order to do really anything you need a bunch of tools that can be found in random containers, unfortunately they are very rare. So you are trapped in the middle of a zombie apocalypse desperately trying to find a trowel because for some reason you can't garden with a shovel. Hopefully updates will fix that.

They made a game exactly the way you describe it. They made it 15 something years ago. Search up Ultima Online.
