Author Topic: Elder Scrolls Online - is it worth it?  (Read 2426 times)

I heard a few rumors that it's being considered going FTP with micro-transactions.

I've played the game since beta and when the game actually released, i've only ran into one glitch (fell under the map) since then. I have no idea where people find every other bug and even so, they patched up most of them already. Each faction story is pretty fun and leaves an interesting lore behind each one. I suggest finding a good active guild that hosts a lot of events whether it's PvP or PvE things. There's a stuff ton of things to do even with current end-game and the way you can use your character to do whatever roles you want in the game makes it better. If you want to be a healing tank, go ahead. if you want to be a shadow priest with a destruction staff and a bow as a secondary, why not.

This sums up my overall views very well.

I don't know where all the reports of bugs come from. I mean, there are bugs, but honest to god it's no more than I ever find in any other MMO or single-player game.
I swear most people who brush it off or take the piss out of it are/have either;
A) Basing their views from the Beta, where surprise, surprise! It was a work in progress.
B) Hating on the fact that it's TES but not singleplayer like the others.
C) Never played it and joining a bandwagon.
D) Too poor to play, even though it's all traditional MMO pricing, and criticise it for that.

I've not heard of too many people who've gone in and played the game, post launch, and then truly hated it.
Whereas I've seen plenty of people criticise it solely off of it's Beta's or its price.

I'm seriously not expecting that.
I prefer mmorpg's anyway.
Thanks anyway. The download finished earlier, I'm gonna play it tomorrow when I get home
If you play in the Aldermi Dominion or the Ebonheart Pact then send me a message and I can make a new character in that faction and we can play sometime, if you like.
It'd be cool if there were more ESO players, particularly European Players, on the BLF. There's not too many on the Elder Scrolls Megathread. If we had enough we could guild up. It'd be cool to do it with American players too, but I don't know if you can have a guild shared in both the EU/US Megaservers.

And if you do choose Daggerfall Covenant then send me a message at some point, and if we start to get to similar levels then we can play too.
It'd be cool to do some dungeons. I don't overly like teaming up with strangers for dungeons, since you don't really know your allies too well, nor can you properly plan things, and they might speak little English on the EU server. Plus, half the time I join strangers in a party they don't even speak to me. Really defeats the point of even partying up.

Alright dude well I made my character earlier today, only level 8 and getting the grasps of the game.
Pretty good so far, looks amazing on ultra high graphics.
My IGN is Ulvain and I'm a Dark Elf rogue type character. Hit me up with a friend request because I have some questions :)
Oh and add me on steam, Brickshift is ma name.

I think a lot of people have played this game and realised it has similar mechanics to Skyrim, but mainly its a mainstream MMORPG (WoW/SWTOR/LOTRO/V&H)
I personally think they've brought two amazing game genres (MMORPG and solo FPS) and this is well worth the money!
