Author Topic: Is there a way to disable "You're now leaving steam page?"  (Read 4976 times)

Honestly its your own god damn fault if you fall for one of these links cause literally EVERY ONE of theses bots say nearly the exact same message which is "Hi, my friend wants to trade with you but can't send a friend request, please add him here: (Insert stamcornmunity.c0m link here)"

Like if you still loving fall for that you DESERVE your stuff to be stolen because you're a handicap.

Yeah I hate it too.

"THANK you, Steam, I AM FULLY AWARE OF THAT, no need to remind me!"

And that's not only it.
Even if you fall for this, in order for him/her to penetrate your account, you might've not have done one of the following:
  • Have Steam Guard on, which is dumb to have off as it's a pretty great system.
  • Have a different password than other services. Steam password should be unique from any other service passwords since you are investing money into it. It's not a throwaway account. Same as for Paypal.
  • Change the password right away. You can't possibly receive a "bad login" message and not think something is wrong, if you for whatever reason didn't do the above at this point you are simply ignorant. Changing your password right away after something like this happens is the first thing you should do, even if you would be "guaranteed" by the above means.

you have to click two things instead of one

you have to click two things instead of one
And load a annoying page that sometimes does not even work or appears after 10 seconds instead of getting sent to your desired destination while it treats you like a child who eats keycaps.

Or you just want to get to the point immediately. Or you have occasionally slow internet like I do, and because it has to load the steamcommunity page first, it takes forever to get to the actual thing. Seriously, at first I was like "okay this isn't that bad, just two clicks instead of one" but this is getting ridiculous, especially with the high amount of stuff that is sent to me every day.
