Do you think Blockland 2 could be a possible thing?

I'd almost be surprised if a Blockland 2 was not made.
I can't see why not.
I don't think so.
Blockland's gonna stay the way it is forever.
Blockland will die.

I think if the loving community wasn't so stuffty the game would get more attention from Badspot.  I'm sure he doesn't enjoy having a bunch of little kids screaming in his ears all the time for the next update, so he probably feels resentful in a way for Blockland's existence, and decides to work on other things to keep from getting angrier.

Seriously guys this game's community needs to be more open, both on the forums and in game.  Stop with the private addons and stuffting on newer players.  If we can't fix the community then Blockland will die an early death.

On any normal game, you will have players who constantly look forward to new updates and will discuss about them. Nothing is wrong with it, and it isn't annoying. It shows that Blockland has a fan-base, and I cant understand why Badspot is annoyed with it.

Because all those "Players" are constantly shoving it in his face and stuffting on him when he says no.

Well, just gotta say this: Torque3d is a PERFECT game engine for something like an unnoficial Blockland sequel.
Add-ons would be easily ported from Blockland to the sequel with minor adjustments, and coders will not have any hard time adjusting to it.
This is really the only thing I can complain about Blockland in it's current state that we can't fix as a community (unless badspot was okay with us porting it over much like the Black Mesa: Source project for Half-Life 1), the graphics are pretty old and really can't be fixed much more.  In particular, the lighting effects.  Lighting effects are pretty awful and it's really the only thing about Blockland's graphics that bothers me.  They spread through bricks, which doesn't make any sense, and they don't cast shadows so interior builds look really awful with shadows on, they're just flat and dark.  soooooo an update to a new engine would be pretty nice for superior lighting effects, and possibly even things like reflections and such.. but I highly doubt Badspot would ever want to rewrite the game from the ground up for this.  I'm pretty sure he's stated many times himself that he won't do that.

Pretty sure it's because most users aren't appreciative of updates and feel entitled to them, which they are not.

It would be cool if Badspot would update, but if he doesn't we can't do much about it. Sure, we use add-ons to update the game and such, but there's only so much we can do with the limited engine it run on.

I don't think that anyone is shoving it in his face or stuffting on him.

I don't know what you mean by appreciative, when a new update is posted on the Dev forum I see all the forumers being kind and saying "Thank you" or "Great!". I don't see what you mean, and I don't think that we feel entitled, but if there is going to be a section for development on the forum, then he might as well develop the game or just remove the section if he stopped.

It isn't everyone but it is a lot of people, I would say the majority.

lets set badspot up with some hot babe

sequel should have an adventure mode based around slate and the findings of the old rtb

finding the rtb castle initiates terrain and interior adding back to the golden days
at the end the player spawns in the old tutorial and the actual adventure mode begins

i think a sequel would interest him much more than modifying this old game and trying to appease everybody
