This is false. If you open up a maliciously crafted webpage it's theoretically possible for an attacker to execute arbitrary code on your machine. A french secuity firm demonstrated this this year by exposing a total of 11 different 0days in fully updated Internet Explorer 11, Adobe Reader XI, Google Chrome, Adobe Flash, and Mozilla Firefox. Not with my NoScript they can't.

Not with my NoScript they can't.
We don't even know for sure if it used javascript... for all we know it could get you even with noscript activated. It's happened before to Tor, of all things. I really wouldn't be that surprised.

show me one, because I don't really believe you. that would defeat the purpose of a laptop
well I can't exactly show you considering I have no idea the type or model of laptop but the laptops at school don't have an internal battery

Technically, they can.

The way these things work is that they directly use exploits. Even images can be used to forget up your day.

more than likely your school took the batteries out

a few years ago i was using a computer with a VERY bad graphics card
it was so bad that my browser even forgeted up graphically once
i would flip my stuff when i'm playing a game and all of a sudden there's colors and polygons everywhere

attention

this isn't really a "little thing" but I was playing The Walking Dead (which my laptop was having issues at the time) and everything randomly got forgeted up. I quit, then it looked like someone shot a BB at my computer monitor. I restarted and it was fine, though.

Luckily, I updated my drivers and games run good again lol

ahahaa
its some refurbished laptop from ebay that has been through many repairs and one time it had to get a whole new hard drive

anyway the battery was taken out before we bought it
