Author Topic: am i the only one who gets scared by the littlest things on computers  (Read 1400 times)

technical things, not like creepypastas or jumpscares

example:
>5 minutes ago i was on tumblr and i clicked a link someone posted
>it was some article site
>randomly, i didnt click any ads on the site, a window popped up and said YOUR EMAIL IS DISABLED FOR BREAKING THE RULES!
>alt+f4 didnt work
>instinct to instantly unplug laptop
i tried using cmd and task manager and they opened which is good. running an avast full scan now, no threats so far.
i immediately knew it was some scam and i wasnt worried about my email, but still, whenever something prevents me from closing it or pops up unexpectedly, i get extremely nervous and my heart rate goes up very quickly

does this happen to you guys too, or am i just weird

whenever I hear the words install and drivers I feel like shutting off every computer and hiding

i once went on steam and it said install
i got scared and bashed my computer to tiny pieces

I am scared by absolutely everything.

dude you cannot get a virus without downloading an executable or running a java applet. Just close the popup next time.

show me one, because I don't really believe you. that would defeat the purpose of a laptop
