I went slowly, looked for check boxes and everything. Installed an update to Adobe and now I'm stuck with McAfee.

EDIT: got it out, so that's good I guess

i dont know why adobe has to make photoshop and all those other products so expensive
they get millions of dollars a year from McAfee just so they can have that in there and checked on by default.

Adobe products aren't expensive at all. If you can't pay the full price, you can go for a monthly subscription instead. Plus if you're a college student, they'll drop prices and sometimes let you use their stuff for free.

Usually people who need photoshop need it permanently or for a long period of time. That "affordable" monthly subscription ends up costing you more than buying it straight up at the college discount.

Honestly, everyone does. It's nothing new.

not really. not very quickly, at least.

takes a long time for it to actually add up to that much. i have adobe creative cloud under some teacher and student discount and it only costs $20 a month. it'll go up to the normal $50 or w/e after a year i think. compare that to spending $1000+ for a permanent license, and it would still take a few years for the permanent license to be a better deal. regardless, it's much more feasible than spending all that up front. it does suck that it's so expensive, but creative cloud is a p good deal considering.

This is only worthwhile, however, if you use at least several products. Otherwise, you can offset the price by buying a single app vs the suite.

Also, the reason Adobe charges so much? Because they can. They basically have a monopoly on that industry, so they can charge as much as they want (within reason) and still do fantastically.

Yes, I have never used an Adobe product I haven't liked.
