Author Topic: is canyourunit unreliable?  (Read 830 times)

i only have come to ask this because i think its bullstuff that a pentium 4 3.0 ghz is superior to pentium dual-core E6700 at 3.2 ghz

Just saying, there's way way way more to what makes a good CPU than the clock speed. I haven't looked at those specific CPUs, but it's very plausible that a 3.0 GHz could be better than a 3.2 GHz.

but still, pentium 4?

I asked if I could run bf3 a while ago, it gave me a minimal score and I tried to run it. Completely opposite of what I was expecting.

CanIRunIt goes by system requirements alone. You're better off just using a game with similar requirements as a benchmark.

its inaccurate as forget, but it gives a general enough idea
if it says you can't run it but only just by vram or something small, you can run it

im upgrading to a gt 630 on monday, so video graphics wont be a problem.

I don't like this site because it tells me I can't run anything.
Which is pretty accurate because I rarely get more than 30fps in any game and I don't think I've ever gone above 60.
