the average american dosnt get informed. they vote for the name they heard the most and remember seeing.

They actually usually just pick the one that says their party name next to it.

To me, the election wasn't about the candidates for office or the House, but it was about the individual measures on it. For example, CA Proposition 47 passed (with my help), that decreased penalties for petty crimes from life-ruining felonies to misdemeanors. Things like drug possession, theft of less than $1,000 in property, and other non-violent crimes shouldn't make you a loving felon.

I vote for Julius Caesar every year.

I don't know if you still need help; in fact it looks like it would be too late to add this to your assignment anyway, but I felt like responding so here I guess

Thomas Lars

1: Did you vote in the recent Midterm election and why or why not
Yes. My brother convinced me it was important.

2: would you support making voting easier how would you go about it/why not
Yes, but I do not know how it could be done or if it is necessary.

3: should there be incentives to vote such as tax breaks?
No. Voting is, to those that care, its own incentive. Politics need to be conducted in a way that is interesting to voters and convinces them their votes make an impact, not incentivized to bring in people who do not know anything about the candidates.

4: how do you prepare for an election/get informed
I speak with my immediate family members who follow political issues more closely.

5:how would you encourage others to vote in future elections or should we not
Teach them about the significance of different candidates, and how different plans could affect their lives. If they are not interested, so be it.

I vote for Julius Caesar every year.
