Improve chat backspacing

When you try to backspace in a chat message, you can only delete one character at a time by repeatedly pressing backspace a bunch of times. There should be a way to hold backspace so you can keep deleting more characters, and the same for using arrows to move around in your chat message.

It'd be even better if you could just Ctrl+Backspace or Ctrl+Arrow to delete entire words at a time. If you didn't know, try writing some text in a post and using those.
