Author Topic: If you made a computer virus, what would it's name and symptoms/effects be?  (Read 4504 times)

Thats pretty forgetin spooky.

"wildfire.exe" : Original name, but often simply renamed to fool idiots into thinking it is a file they want.

Threat: Extremely Severe

Type: Worm.Uncommon (Spreading Badware)

You get it by: Running the executable file, sometimes disguised as what looks like legitimate software. Suspicious emails and downloads are "hotspots" for this to "flare" up. Pun very much intended.

Payload: Once run, sends itself to the router, distributing it to all effectable programs on that network, and if the router is acting as a server and is allowing other IP's to connect to the host, they will also be effected, since they are using the router to connect to as a port. Enough to disable all antivirus programs, hijacks all programs and instead makes the programs power the virus itself so it uses up most of your system memory.

Effects: Turns monitor brightness up all the way, turns all processes to Very High in Task Manager, Increases usage of all system resources, Disables your computers fan and even other cooling systems, and does not allow any disks to be added or removed. Overclocks the computer far beyond capability enough to permanently cause internal damage and burns, and commonly even cause the computer to catch fire. Not only is it called "wildfire.exe" because of that, but also because it can spread across the world as long as computers are connected to eachother via router/server hosting.

Other Info: This is a major threat to not only homes and offices because of the physical safety threat, but this is also very bad for server companies too as the Worm.Uncommon also effects server computers, which can overall be worse because if those server companies host for big enterprises (google, yahoo, etc.) will be effected and ANY DOWNLOAD on these companies sites will instead just be the Worm.Uncommon, and not the expected file. Once again, it is also bad for these server companies as it can cause fire and has a potential to incinerate other server racks before the worm itself actually spreads.

i need feedback, tell me how good (by good i mean bad) this is on a scale of 1/10

How about a 'good" virus?

WhiteKnight.exe

Responsible for releasing a defense system on your computer which completely blocks toolbars and other obscure programs to download secretly when you download a file
sooo
like
an ANTIVIRUS???

out.ie

basically its would be a very contagious virus file, and can corrupt it. It spreads through Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Steam, and more social media and gaming software.

For social media, it would send the file with a rather persuading text, and you just need to click it to get the virus to all your friends.
For Skype and Steam, Skype was relevantly same as the picture virus, except better, it forces the link to be opened before accessing skype, if you decide to close it without clicking the link, it will delete all your contacts and post you contact details anywhere. (Forums, Blogs, etc). If you do choose to click the link, you will be safe and allowed to send 5 copies of files around the internet. For steam, it will persuade dumb newbies for $20 wallet cards.

Now if this was an actual virus, what would happen to the internets social media ;-)

(guessing over 500,000 computers damaged)

everybody saying "ebola computer virus" are 6 years late
