Author Topic: Suggest Personal BGM [new parameters]  (Read 814 times)

Title explains all.

I've been hunting for more music to add to my BGM library to use in games that support it. I'm extremely picky about what I listen to though. My favorite genres are also somewhat undefined, but I tend to have preference to any kind of rock, jazz, some techno, country, and even a little dance mix.

I prefer songs with lyrics/vocals but anything will be considered. Thanks :cookie:

Original OP still applies, but I have done a bit of comparing with the songs I already have to decide how to narrow down the parameters. I've found that I tend to prefer catchy upbeat rock (hard rock is okay, no metal) from the '70s-'80s (harder rock being in the '90s-'00s).

I'm going to do some more searching for music by ELO, Jet, Billy Squier, and Aerosmith. Still looking for suggestions by others for bands or certain songs.

Sacrificial from the original Binding of Isaac is a nice track, with some parts containing rock-styled guitar riffs.

Payday 2 - evil eye is nice

Bump.

Thanks for the suggestions up to now. All are up for consideration but not making downloads yet. I updated the OP a bit to attempt to narrow down the interest. I'm bad at placing genre labels but I think I've explained as far as I can.

why no epic orchestral music? :(

Not saying I won't, but I'm using a certain source app to get my music and that one wasn't coming up. I might try making some sort of example video of what I'm doing tomorrow as well as a list of my current songs to give people an idea.

I suck at music identification.

Well I know you can get it on iTunes here:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/thats-a-wrap-single/id836050175

but the dude put an mp3 of it 100% for free on his facebook (and obviously on his website): https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=767702779908266&id=147900228587129

Okay that Facebook link should work. I'll test it with what I'm doing.
