Author Topic: iOS Overtakes Android In Marketshare  (Read 620 times)

Well Apple's iOS just overtook Android in marketshare for the first time since 2012, only by .1% but still. Apple's iPhone 6 was like a nuclear bomb on the market, selling some 74M units since release.

"selling some 74M units since release."

gross

I feel this weirdly appropriate.

Ok, here's what the actual deal is since OP is too lazy to loving read the article he posted. Last fiscal year's 4th quarter, more iOS phones sold than Android phones, by .1%. That doesn't mean that iOS has more market share than Android, that doesn't mean more phones are running iOS than Android in the U.S. That means that this quarter, more people bought iPhones than Android phones. Which isn't really that big of a surprise as the two new iPhones released in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Next time, let's read before we make weird ass statements.

I'm an ass all the time, no need to feel special.
