Use Milkshape, while I prefer Blender to life, it seems like your younger and need some simplicity.

Why wouldn't it work?

To answer your question though, you could try use Blender, but the controls are very hard to get a hang of, but there is a lot more documentation for it.

First things first:
I love GuP. It's one of the best anime I've ever watched, personally.
I also play World of Tanks
The reason I have not made many GuP tanks is because I would like each nation to be represented by famous tanks first, then I'll make the others. If Blockland and I are both still alive, I will be making tanks for years to come.
