It woud be cool if it had that..

I mean..think about it

(BTW: this img is to make this topic look better)

I like direct control over add-ons rather than a Subscription-based system where you get them only after you start up the game.
That's not how it should be.

i was under the impression that badspot was going to use the workshop in some way relating to the new hat system he's making

It's not like once a workshop is in place, you can no longer manually download and place add-ons into the game, it would be just another alternative

i'd love some saport.

super admin port

loving this.

If the person who uploaded an addon deletes it it get auto removed from your computer instantly.
Would you like to have your addons removed when the developer has a hissy fit and decides to remove their addons?

I already have to put up with this stuff on gmod, and then comes the part when someone makes an addon and just because someone
is an starfish they file a DMCA complaint and your addon is removed without any proof.

So don't use it? Don't download add-ons from people you don't trust?

Are you stuffting me? I will use the gmod rappelling addon as an example, the creator uploads the addon>
everyone likes it> starfishs start talking stuff to him > he decides to pull all his addons without say > I start up gmod to see that an addon and many others from the same creator are missing > *I get pissed*

And then when someone tries to recreate it the asshat comes back, files a false DMCA complaint > the addon gets taken down.

I would be down for workshop support, but the issue that creators can delete their stuff from the workshop and have it get removed from the computer is just a pain in the ass.

If workshop would let you download the addon instead of the stuffty subscribe system, then it would be perfect.
