Author Topic: A question about Skyrim: Dawnguard DLC  (Read 982 times)

Forgive me if this is the wrong section I don't usually visit the Games section and I'm to lazy to actually join a Skyrim forum.

What's the reward if you stay with the dawnguard as apposed to becoming a vampire lord?

ex if you become a vampire lord you get the vampire lord ability (which rocks) but what is my motive to refuse him, what benefit do i get from the dawnguard then?

ur a cooldude, uh you get a really good crossbow

personally dawngaurd is better than vampire

that might just be me though

You can still be a Vampire Lord while choosing the Dawnguard.
Serana offers you the choice to become one twice during the game.

crossbow (can get from dawnguard patrols)
crossbow upgrades (use a bow)
armor (can get from patrols)
you can still become a vampire lord and use the special bow & arrow thanks to serana

werewolves are better
what the forget are you doing as a vampire lord

general guesses since i never chose the vampire route:

-Crossbow upgrades (dwarven crossbow, special exploding bolts)
-Sun-related Restoration magic against undead enemies (usually acts like Destruction magic)
-side quests related to murdering vampires
-sun doesn't blow up

werewolves are better
what the forget are you doing as a vampire lord
vanilla werewolfs suck serious nards what are you talking about

vanilla werewolfs suck serious nards what are you talking about
Dawnguard DLC adds a perk tree for werewolves for feeding similar to the Vampire Lord's tree

vanilla werewolfs suck serious nards what are you talking about
Vanilla, yes.

Dawnguard's, no. The feeding tree makes a big difference.

You guys are forgetting the most important feature...
Companion husky war dogs!

there is no advantage to joining harkon or whatever the generic evil vampire man was called
