you can't tell me an i7-4790k isn't overkill.
Except it's not.
My brother (BluetoothBoy) does lots of video stuff and would like to be able to do really nice animations. With his current i5, 8 gigs of RAM, and R9 280, he said hr could render 2 frames per day.
There are absolutely uses for an i7, and for some it's definitely not overkill.
