wow what a gay thing to say

True. But Look at the Crusades. Both are equally starfishs. Don't forget that extremists do not define a religion as a whole. Its made up of people, and people are different from eachother.
The Crusades weren't fueled solely by religion.  Another goal of the Crusades was to get luxury resources from Western Asian markets, or to connect trade routes over sea to them.  It played a significant part to set up the Renaissance.

Additionally, those Crusades that did happen were also done to curry favor from the Vatican, so that monarchs and nobility would have diplomatic leverage.

These mentioned, it is disingenuous to mention the Crusades as a purely religious movement.

Imagine a world without religion.
Peacefull as forget.

Don't kid yourself, we'd find plenty of reasons to kill each other.

I think the same thing for a lot of these Islamic terrorists now. A lot of them do it for political reasons, the religion part is just their way of justifying their horrible acts.

Islam is one of the worst religions out there, to killing others for not being islamic, to taking basic human rights from others.
islam isn't a religion of peace, never has been, probably never will be.
These kinds of statements detract from the reality of what's actually going on over in that part of the world.

Terrorist groups aren't fueled solely by religion either, even though it plays a very strong part in their rhetoric.

That is also true. Many resources like Spices, salt, and silk were extremely valuable resources that came through middle east into Europe.

What people should gather from the Crusades is that religion is often an excellent unitary and motivational cause for conflicts. If you're going to use the rhetoric of these extremists to argue that 'Islam is a violent religion', then you have to also accept the fact that Christianity is a violent religion. In fact, practically every religion has been used to fuel extremism at some point in history. Even the stereotypically 'peaceful religions' like Hindus and Buddhists have had their share of extremists and terrorists.
