Author Topic: vehicle creator GUI..  (Read 2442 times)

okay, i know, as well as you guys.. that you cant put "special" bricks down on the grid and make them drive able/movable. so why not make some sort of GUI where you can select the front, back, sides, extras, wheels, and mounting points (note: these parts being premade for whacky vehicle combos) then save it, boom! its a vehicle... then you can load it like any other vehicle via wrench.

p.s. now if you've ever played any of the lego racer games you know what im talking about.

As it's been said twenty times before, It can't be done without engine changes, and if you nag Badspot he'll ignore you.

Have a vehicle with lots of mounts and hidenodes when you spawn it from the "Editor", edit the switch seats code to stop you moving in to mounts you haven't "enabled". Can be done, but I'd need a specialised model made.

But wouldn't that lag so horribly? If not I can make a model with a stuff load of perfectly placed joints.

Lol, you thought he meant buildable vehicles and didn't bother to read what he actually typed, didn't you?

Currently it's possible to mount any wheel and spring combination on any vehicle, so you can do something like this and it would be pretty fun.

OMG! see!? badspot himself says it can be done! THE WORD OF GOD HAS BEEN SPOKEN!!!

*few*
anyway spaceguy, what do you need? in detail exactly.

EDIT: Oh wow, my late-night stupidity has gotten the best of me. I failed to realize that Badspot himself said this was possible.
