Author Topic: My computer is forgetED.  (Read 2659 times)

Bump, I'm going to try to take my computer to Best Buy to confirm that my hard drive is the issue.

if you have a w10 install disc or anything like that, see if chkdsk or any of its other reparation functions can do anything for you
Plug the computer out of the wall, hold down your power button for a bit, plug it back in, and see if it turns on

as for the file system error:
These posts are literally the only real advice that has been given this thread.  Everyone saying he should check his motherboard for faults is handicapped and doesn't know what they're talking about.

OP, if you don't know what you're doing, just take it to a specialist or a computer repair shop.  That would be the easiest solution for you.

I took my PC to Best Buy. The Geek Squad said the motherboard was the issue and handicappedly said the repair would be more money than my PC (said it was like 500 bucks to replace.)

do not go to geek squad
they're stuff
literal stuff

local news here took a computer there, all they did was unplug the sata cable from the hdd to the mobo and geeksquad said the motherboard and processor were fried and tried to sell them a new computer

a local shop fixed it free of charge

also i could loving fix it myself for like 200 dollars maybe 300 if everything is fried
they're loving trash and a disgrace to the computer repair industry

A pile of stuff is better tech support than geek squad

never go to geek squad. never. it's a sin.

But would it be the motherboards issue even though it made a beeping noise when I removed the ram and started it up?

take it to a local shop
if the motherboard beeps it at least knows there is no ram so the problem is not the ram
