My computer has been involuntarily upgraded to windows 10.

my dads been geeking out over windows 10 hard. recently got the surface pro 3, is gonna get the surface book when it drops, is constantly telling me about all the developer builds he plays with etc

i wanna upgrade to windows 10, but im a little skeptical about the privacy thing. im not all tinfoil hat about it and honestly if they are taking my personal info ill probably still upgrade because idgaf what they see, but my dad tells me all that personal info they're collecting is just metadata to make the experience easier and more enjoyable, and that its not directly tied back to you

it's nothing to worry about because it can all be disabled. There are guides all over the net, and even applications that will automatically disable all the data collection stuff for you.

honestly its not that much of an issue for me. people were just making it out like microsoft was harvesting hair and blood samples while you slept or something. i just wanted to know what new information they where gathering to elicit such a reaction
