I assume they also fringe off because they believe in sciences, too? Reason I ask is because someone last year and I were having a talk about evolution / religion and I said I believe in both of those, which he replied "You're not a real Christoan, then." iirc things started to slow down after that and we ceased conversing for a while.
The overwhelming majority of Christians I know like science, in fact one of the members of the church I go to is a neurologist. She performs brain and spinal surgeries for a variety of tasks (spinal fusion procedures, tumor removals, etc.).
The real core of the "Science VS Religion" debate is centered almost entirely around evolution.
