Author Topic: [NEWS] Turkish F-16 shoots down Russian Su-24 bomber  (Read 2356 times)

Is this good or bad for US
bad being that turkey is allied with the US

i love how the jet wasn't even in turkish airspace when it was shot down

The president of turkey released a statement saying that he had personally given the order to shoot down the bomber.

World War III isn't going to start, Russia is just going to use this as an excuse to further escalate their power in Syria. If Turkey shuts of the Bosporus strait to Russian ships, that's when World War III would probably start.

still getting worse, they're also sending back imports and tourists/businessmen over this

I read on r/worldnews that the su-24 had no comms equipment, but Russia violates other countries' airspace all the time, so this is mostly their fault

turkey is making it even worse though

turkey stronk. kebab will remove slav.

If their all weather bomber didn't have radios in it I'd be VERY surprised. It's still their fault either way. All military aircraft are supposed to monitor the emergency UHF frequency 243.0, which is what the F-16 was transmitting on. If you listen to the transmissions you can hear the Turkish pilot saying "On guard" which means he's transmitting on 243.0.

You guys realize that Russia isn't a threat at all right? Pushing back on Putin is what NATO needs to do. If worst came to worst, Europe and the US would kick the stuff out of Russia.

In all seriousness this won't cause a war and it's Russia's fault fir sending a pilot over Turkish airspace.
