in reality i don't think people really care that everyone knows they like something. it's more so either that they want to find other people that also like it or that they like it enough to want to express it. i don't really know what specifically alyx was referring to but i guarantee you people aren't going to shove their interests in the face of people who they know don't care, unless it's specifically to spite them or something. and i think that's a pretty understandable thing. why share what you love with people that want to tear it down or people who won't care?
