Alright. We don't have to fight wars. But if people are willing to take help, as a race we have a duty to help.

If people are willing to help then they can go to the country and help themselves. You shouldn't burden everyone in your country by spending their hard earned money on an issue that will probably never be solved.

lolwut? Nationalism is arguably the only thing that makes countries successful. If you don't love your country then what are you living there for? It has turned countries that were shambling ruins into world powers.

Nationalism is a sociopolitical double edged blade, don't argue that it isn't. It's a proponent that brought Germany to the top of the European powers, but turned it into a facist monster. Nationalism can also cause international disputes (ex. The Balkans) which usually blow up into violence. You cannot say that nationalism is the best proponent that causes success and growth, because the only factor that considerably holds that title now and days is economic strength.

After the fact it was proven that yes, communists really had gotten into government positions during the cold war.
