Author Topic: Learning torquescript similar to exercism.io  (Read 1011 times)

I used exercism.io mainly to learn Python. It's where you complete a programming task in whatever language you're programming for, you submit it, and you can see what anyone else had submitted for that problem. You could also resubmit a better solution using new information you find from other people's submissions for the problem.

What I am proposing is something like exercism.io's system, but for torquescript. I don't know much torquescript, which is why I'm suggesting it. Different problems might have new functions to learn, and ways of doing things. I don't really want this just for torquescript, but rather for torquescript used in Blockland. I don't exactly want to be programming all stuff using a console, it needs to have practical integration into Blockland add-on development. It doesn't need to have the sharing system or whatever, all I really need are the programming challenges.

So would someone here do this? I feel that it could help more of the community learn torquescript better than a tutorial could in my opinion.

If something is found. I'd love it.

IMO, TorqueScript is similar to PHP (a web-based code used with HTML)

Although they have their many differences, the syntax isn't far off.
Learning PHP first could help you better understand TorqueScript syntax

Try using codecademy, my brother uses it for HTML and it's helped him quite a bit

I'd rather say Torkscript has a related syntax to java and c# than php

Lol what? PHP? Torquescript's syntax resembles JavaScript the most imo.

At least it's better than saying TS is similar to C#
