Fishing mod?

Would it be possible to have like a fishing mod? You would cast, wait for like 10-15 seconds and you'd catch any 7 or 8 types of fish with different rarities?

ive always had this idea:

A throwable item called "bait" that attracts AI fish (prahnas from armyunit's water pack) using script ripped from rotondo's pipebomb (since it attracted ai zombies)

i want this so bad. I was thinking about this the other day where like you could maybe upgrade your fishing pole or something in the same vein as gamefandan's monster hunter server. and have like several different fish that you could catch with different fish models and stuff. I hope someone decides to pick this up.
