Author Topic: Is this a good pc build?  (Read 1936 times)

gpuboss is bullstuff and rates cards lower based on loving market share even. plus the original titan was released before the 780 ti even.

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1721?vs=1716 here, actual benchmarks which show the 980 is faster

Because heat is an issue. As long as you dont OC the card itll be find otherwise its factory fault or whatever
It is when the loving card downclocks itself because it'll overheat otherwise
Hes gon OC it, I guarantee it.
What? The only people I see OCing are either really serious or 12 year olds who want to play a new game on a 6 year old media center PC
I bet you never had the combination of a modular psu + a stuffty case with no room for cables + a full drive bay.
I've built enough mATX rigs that had a bunch of cables, just close the panel and you're done
Oh and the CX500M isnt stuff fyi. Itd get a stuffty modular over a supreme non-modular everyday
That's just plain stupid, have fun with coil whine and random unexplainable issues
And im not telling him to get 1080, im telling it its stupid to buy a 980 when the 1080 is coming out soon-ish.
It's not stupid since the 1080 is almost twice as expensive and replaces the 980 ti, not the 980.

Than englighten my why the CX500M is stuff?

never said it was stuff

He was asking for around 700, with a max of $900.

But for $900:

You don't need a "k" since he doesn't look like the OC type, and the 300mhz isn't making a huge difference.
Stock cooler is fine for a non OC i5.
980 is simply faster, and even with the 1080 still a good deal for $350.
XFX uses Seasonic as OEM, which is a much better PSU than the Corsair CX (the RM and AX are on par tho)

I honestly might use this
