Portal 3 would be more innovative than Half Life 3.

Not.. really? It'd do what Portal 2 did. Better graphics, and a couple extra "gimmicks" (you seem to throw the term around quickly to absolutely any game mechanic you are able to use a lot) isn't that innovative. That doesn't mean Portal 2 was a bad game though.
