i'm only able to get about 20 mbps DL and 10-15 mbps UP on my PC, while my mother's PC is able to get around 70 or even 100 mbps DL and 40 mbps UP.
i did a google search and found something about amd quick stream being the problem, but after uninstalling it, nothing's changed. sometimes my speed degrades to even 6 or lower, when absolutely no one is using the wifi.
what's the deal here? i'm not that far away from the router, it's in the next room. don't ask me about trying to get ethernet, i'm in an apartment and trying to do that might end up being a nightmare. (by next room i meant living room and i'm several feet away from it)
anyone know what i'm doing wrong here? not sure what else to do. i can give the router model if needed.
