Author Topic: Gyro controls for fpses/games in general  (Read 959 times)

Anyone who's played splatoon/used a steam controller knows that there's gyro controls available, but I don't really see any actual discussion on it.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about specifically: https://youtu.be/GKuO9M0WuMg?t=1m56s
Do any of you guys use them, and if you do is comparable to mouse and keyboard?

i don't have much experience, but fps gyro controls in some wii u games like nintendo land and twilight princess hd were a bit hard to get used to

i found it pretty much impossible to use only the gyro, so i had to get used to using both joystick camera movement and gyro together, which was a bit finicky, but i think overall it's probably better than trying to make fine adjustments with a joystick

gyro much more accurate than wiimote, makes playing wind waker and twilight easier

Having played Splatoon, gyro controls are far better than brown townog aiming but not quite on to par with mouse controls. Even then it's the best it gets with aiming with a controller.

I wish there was a way to have gyro controls on DS4 for PC games. I tried using DS4windows but it doesn't work well.

they aren't that good tbh
using a joystick to aim feels way more natural for me
and using a mouse is infinitely better than that

I had to turn it off since trying to bind controls was impossible.
