Apparently the port is a mess with lots of new bugs. I noticed right at the start that the fire causes some weird graphics bugs when you're submerged.

I also really don't like the new animation when you're in the plane. It just moves "out of sync" in comparison to the original.

Do you mean the pre-rendered video at the start of the game? Do you mean out-of-sync as in animation, or framerate?

Everything was great until I tried to overwrite a save and then the game cleared ALL of my saves. forget.

The Bioshock series is probably up there as one of my favorites, I'm glad 2K decided to show the older two a bit of love. I hope they can come around to fix some of the bugs soon, though.

It might've been pre-rendered in the first game but in the remaster it seems to be an in-engine cutscene.

What I mean by "out of sync" is that I just don't like the motion. He doesn't even stand up in the remaster in time with the dramatic music. The graphics change also changed the airplane seats from more canvasy type to red leather. They're small nitpicks, but I still felt a tad irritated by it.

EDIT: Not red leather, they just removed the decorative lines on the sides.

I'm guaranteeing you that it's pre-rendered because I'm looking at the file right now:

the first remaster looks really good, though it's probably making a bigger impact since I haven't played the original in at least 6 years

there are definitely some weird graphical glitches I don't remember seeing before, strange lighting and audio coming from the wrong side or repeating and stuff like that, but when it works (which is almost always, thankfully) it looks great

original game plane for comparison
