Author Topic: Which colorset is the best for building TDM map?  (Read 970 times)

default

trueno's is objectively bad because it has terrible green transparent

If you know what you're building and it has a certain theme go with a colorset that reflects that theme. If you have a lot of colors use trueno's.

opinion default is not good but truenos is pretty standard with better color options

Don't listen to anyone recommending Trueno's. There's better colorsets than that.

Try Spock's Original Colorset. Literally all it's missing is a transparent brown. I made my own version that replaces full trans with the one of the browns transparent, if you need it, though I'm on mobile right now and can't show you.

Blur's Rainy Day is a nice option. I've used it on several TDMs, and kobble did a great job with it on his island terrain build a few months back, which I also used for a TDM. It's best used for a more realistic or muted feel. If you're going for a more cartoony, arcade style thing then dont use this.

In the case of a TDM, you should choose a colorset based on what you want to make. I wouldn't say there are any colorsets that are specifically great for TDMs.
