Whatever happened to the Good rendermen mod?

The version everybody used to know as "The Renderman Mod" was v2. It was the one that had the Renderman 'bots' that spawned around and looked at you from the distance.

Yes v2 killed you but that was the fun, you could go around with a renderman detector and try to evade him.

Ya know, i still dont get the appeal of a loud ass scream in your ear.

No one seems to appreciate the feel of a creepy and unnerving atmosphere, its not the same as a jumpscare. It slowly tears under your skin, the room around you feels as if even the very walls that hold it up wait to attack you, but you'll never know. But everyone always ruins this atmosphere with a cheap jumpscare :/ (and in this instance i have to mute the damn game or risk becoming deaf.)

I hear what you're saying. The early renderman was scary for not only that it was new, but it seemed like a predator trying to chase you down. As time passed, it grew closer. It stalked you from a distance before coming to kill you.

Besides that, how do I get my hands on it again?

The point wasnt the renderman killing you, it was the fear of the unknown stalker.
He watched from afar, intentions unknown, sometimes location unknown, distance unknown.
It was fun having servers where players would stay together in a close area, basically having an
Online social as the fake apocalypse was going on around them.

Personally, I have never used the older versions of the Renderman mod, but I think that sounds MUCH MUCH better than having something scream into your face.

Really hoping someone can dig that version out. It'll make a good scary pastime.

I dont think any renderman mods are good except for one and it was still annoying as hell because the renderman found you every time you respawned and the noise it made was excruciating and i had to turn my computer all the way down
