Author Topic: Should the blockland steam page have all this crap on it?  (Read 2441 times)

The forums went the way of key-registration for a reason
yes, to stop spam. steam takes care of that on steam forums

The forums went the way of key-registration for a reason

Trying to encourage any sort of secondary community goes against that

Soooooooooo

Why not disable community discussion all together?

I'm fine with the steam forum being ignored but damn all you need is one stickied post to expain it
sometimes

faq and sticked threads get ignored all the time on other discussions from what i've seen and suspect from people who dont bother to look

something this showy is a decent idea

Because who gives a stuff what's posted there? These are the official forums. If people want to raise issues/get help they should come here to do it.

Even if it was properly moderated it's still going to be more work for absolutely no gain

They obviously do a stuff job

Because not everyone owns this game, some people just try the demo out and if they have a problem they go on the steam page for answers.

Are you for real or being sarcastic?

it's almost on the level of the youtube comment section

"people who dont have a key"
you got that right some people bought this from steam
after the greenlight and cant register for the forums
so they go here but were forced to go to the unregisterable forum

People who have a steam key can't register on these forums so they chat on the community page.

Only to find the first page is loaded with absolute stuff.

????

Don't ask me, I'm not the steam user who said it.
You might have missed it but you did say it, right here:

I feel really divided on this one. On one hand, Greek is right, if players want actual help they need to join the game's forum, here. On the other hand, what he did is clearly spam.
