when i was playing the free beta the performance was absolute stuff. my fps would just drop every now and again for seemingly no reason which is completely unacceptable in a game like this. for comparison i'm able to run overwatch at like 150-200 fps at a steady framerate. i guess the real reason was the game having some horribly programmed netcode
also if you're one of the guys who thinks 0.5 mbps is required for modern games here's a word for you. i know you aren't one of those people but forget you i want to make this argument anyways. i did some speed tests while playing warsow (a free quake clone) and my pc was saying that i was only using 32 kbps upload and anywhere from 15-40 kbps download and that's because the game doesn't have to send that much over the internet. games typically only send updates for player positions and velocities and what not and forget all else which means those sorts of games shouldn't be using up that much bandwidth. quake champions is using .5 mbps because whoever designed the netcode is trash at making online play work good
