Author Topic: increase event delay.  (Read 3149 times)

VCE imo is easier to keep track of than toggles. After some time this just becomes muscle memory, whereas toggles I constantly get out of sync.
I agree: VCE has a bit more logic that follows it and being able to name and call functions
even from other bricks is pretty amazing
goth i have no clue why you're saying vce is the answer when it's honestly ten times easier to use toggle events
to make that easier i recommend you use the event saver/loader to just append it into your event box and build on from there
You can do it this way to but I prefer the VCE way since you can check for other Variables through the function, check how much gold the player has, score, etc.

Doesn't do what? state and call function? You must have an outdated/broken version then
Can you get me V15? I heard it was sweet.... Wait, what version do you have?

what a weird link that is

fake kill does not make the bot disappear/unable respawn
That's not what he meant. He meant using it as a delay chain.

Better solution

SetEventTimeout is another good solution.

If using vce, it may make more sense to use a counter

Why so?

-snip-
Still inconvenient since you can't call anything through the client or minigame

If using vce, it may make more sense to use a counter
You could also do it this way, and add 1 to the counter every 30 seconds, and once the counter reaches say, 4, thats 2 minutes and then you can do effects as necessary. This is actually probably a better idea to minimalize events. Good thinking phflack :D

This links a LOT better
