I don't think we need just v9 to do that. Besides, why can't you guys use Teamspeak or XFire?

I would like to see this but some noobs could be richards and not only spam up the chat, but scream into the mike.  I suggest comm. channels so groups can chat but keeping an open channel similar to what our chat is like.
