Would it be possible to make it read .rars? Because that way people's mods could only be tampered with by people who actually know what they're doing. Also it'd be easier to prevent people from installing it wrong since they wouldn't be able to extract it. Express your feelings about this.

What ARE you talking about?  Who gives a stuff?  No one cares if a lesser is tampering with it, and there is NO need to extract it.

it will read zip files, maybe with a special extension, I don't know, but one thing is clear, it will be able to read from zip files.

Blockland cannot edit / write to .zip files, so it's impossible that Blockland or one of its Add-Ons could tamper with your files.

.rar files can be extracted at least as easily as .zip files.

I think he means tampered as in a noob editting the script or something to make it do something handicapped.
He also probably implies that many do not use .rar extract programs like WinRar.

You don't have to use WinRAR to extract .rar files.  In fact, you don't even have to install anything.  You can run 7Zip from www.portableapps.com from a USB stick.
