Author Topic: 3ds Max 8 .dts exporter problems.  (Read 919 times)

I know only a few people use 3ds max so I am not expecting to get help right away. But I have a major issue. I have always had problems with the (official garage game torque) exporter (occasional glitches, file corruption, or crashes) but now it is worse than ever. Now when ever I export some thing it gets smoothshaded somewhere along the way. Of course this is absolutely unacceptable for a blocko creation. In fact it is what cause the 1985 zaper to fail.  So I have made sure I flatshaded it then tried reexporting it but as soon as I spawned it in game it was craptacualy smoothshaded again! Also it would help if any one knew of a tutorial I could use seeing as I guessed my way into getting it to work (just like I did for 3ds max).

So basicly does any one know what is causeing this? (I don't even know why I bother posting this seeing as the only people I have heared use 3ds max are Ephi and Badspot and it would take a miricale to get them to help me......)

How the hell did you afford 3ds Max? I'm guessing you didn't....  *really mean leer*

*holds up mirror that reflects really mean leer*

Got it from my uncle how he got it I may never know (I have only seen him three times).

Ok, I'll make sure the FBI bust up your uncle's home instead, nice save!

I use 3ds max and i bought it myself :P Anyways, i cant export at all, i have to export is .3ds format, import .3ds with milkshape then export as .dts lol.
