Author Topic: Can't install Windows Live Messenger on Laptop D:  (Read 1176 times)

Every time i try installing Windows Live Messenger on my laptop, it says i ain't connected to the internet, but the icon in the task bar says i am, and i even tried with firefox open, i had the firewall enable it, i even shut it off, still didn't work, why won't it work? D:

I just reformatted, and my built in Interwebs card didn't work. Get a cable, and hook it up to the router, and go to windows update or something. Search for updates, and install one that has to do with network... if there are any.

Another way is to go to control panel, and go to Device Manager. Look under network, double click on the only thing there... that's a card, or Ethernet card or something. Check for drivers on it, or manually look it up online.

Well does the internet work? You never said.

The laptop uses Windows XP, i don't see any Device Manager in the Control Panel
