EDIT: i just tested, you just took the printer model and changed the color plus it didn't work at a range farther than the wrench's

you can do the same thing with a wrench, set a name click copy then send then double click on any brick to be named.

but it's faster to use the gun

What exactly is /IncName Bool good for?

Can you make it where when it changes the name of a brick that said brick is highlighted for a second or two?
