Radiation bricks could be placed anywhere.
Getting too close causes radiation induced damage.
Mutants will be chasing you, and you have a visible health bar that slowly depletes.
You would have a Geiger Counter, and would need to find ways of escaping the irradiated area.

On a related note, a Chernobyl map would be ideal for this.

You can Build Chernobyl yourself, but I like the radiation idea.

Though, The Chernobyl map should ONLY be the Pripyat and Area AROUND the real Chernobyl NPP, So you include a save of the Actual NPP that is made of bricks.
Sounds good, im working on a lil' Reactor Pile Thing, and the back room of the whole thing has barrels or waste/Heavy water and Turbine water, and I have a restricted "Irradiated zone" that has a kill wall, this would be PERFECT for this.

get the zombie mod and the playercolornode thing or whatever its called and make a radiation puddle here events for steping in puddle
