I dont know if this has been suggested before, i searched abit and if it has i brought it back to life so new people can think about it.
So this kind of gives blockland a purpose, rather than just sandbox do whatever you want. That will be still in the game dont worry! But this could make it abit more fun. If you make an add on, you can post it and in order to download you need to pay a certain amount from your user, This connects through your user on the forum and ingame.
Just like the mod manager in rtb, so you download it and it takes away a certain amount of money, how much the person who made it wanted. Ofcourse you dont have to download anything if you don't want to.
Except now everybody is thinking thesame thing "Thats useless, what about all those people who can't mod..do they get stuck with no money and can't download anything else?"
No. There's other ways to get money(i might not have the best suggestions but it give some ideas to other people).
You can maybe post a build on the forum, if people like it they can vote thumbs up and you get abit of money. If they vote no you get none. Similar to coke music. Or maybe you can sell the save. Maybe it can be anything else you can put up for download like your blockland movie, map, decal, anything that you think would suit blockland.
This just makes it abit more fun, and depending on how many things the person has at his server you can see how wealthy he is. It could be fun, not everybody has to actually participate in it. Its all connected through your ID, but i think we might need to put up a password for your ID just so people can't easily steal anything.
