Steam takes awhile to load, the overlay is laggy and horrible,

Which is stupid because then you have to be connected to the internet to play the games you have bought.

Xfire s useful because it has the ability to send single files, I use it to chat with my friends, and steam to chat with you guys/play steam games.

Offline mode in Steam tends to not work 90% of the time, and the quality of voice chat is horrible.
Not to mention I don't like adding non-steam games to my steam list.

That does it to me too, I guess you guys who don't have to switch it into offline before internet turns off are the lucky ones.
