If you want to survive, you:
Save him>Stay Here>Gather Wood>Go Downstairs>Leave Her>Run for the streets
After 'Leave Her' you could also run to the woods, but the woman who saves you appears to be bitten. It then says "You survived - for now. Maybe there's a better way?'.
Otherwise, a group saves you when you run to the streets.
I died on every branch of scenarios before I finally got to the last one. :/
